Care The Most

Sometimes, if you care the most you will win. People who don't really care will give up.

Tony:   What do you want for dinner?
Abed:   Pizza.
Tony:   I don't know. We had pizza last week.
Abed:   I'm in the mood for pizza.
Tony:    I was thinking German. What do you think?
Abed:   There's a new pizza place downtown that I've been wanting to try.
Tony:   How about Malaysian for a change?
Abed:  The new pizza place has great reviews.
Tony:   Fine. We'll have pizza.

Alice's Balm

One day Alice's world was shattered.

But she was given a balm which helped her rebuild her life. She was able to carry on for twenty years with the help of the balm.

Then the balm-maker made a confession. He told Alice that the balm had been created from lies and that she had been a fool for applying the balm.

Had Alice been a fool?

Completeness

During your life you may come across people who believe that you are THE ONE.

You are the missed opportunity, lost love, shooting star, Holy Grail, wish granter, Prince Charming, dream come true. You are not real to them.

They spend part of their life in a  fantasy world.

They won't tell you what they expect from you mostly because they, themselves, do not know the concrete specifics of what they want. Also, if they speak out loud, they might jinx everything. You are supposed to already know what they want, what they need, because you are THE ONE. If you withhold your magical gifts from them they will become disappointed, depressed, angry. and it will be your fault.

They want to be saved.

You can show them kindness, give advice, suggest counseling.

You can't fill the hole in their core. You can't complete them. Each one of us has to do our own work and complete ourselves.

Hate to Hate

People like people who like them. People do not like people who do not like them. This is a general tendency, there are always exceptions.

Years ago I had an encounter with a teenager that I will always remember. He was sitting next to me and acting in a bizarre manner. I must have looked at him in a way that he did not like because he screamed out, "I hate you! I hate you because you hate me!"

I was surprised by his reading of my facial expression and by his emotional outburst.

Most people will just hate someone and never tell the hated person, but they will behave with hatred.

I didn't hate him but he thought (because of the way I looked at him, the expression on my face) that I hated him. I assured him that I didn't hate him. We got along after that.

Try to be careful with the looks you throw at people. There is no reason to make someone feel hated.

Hatred grows more hatred. Love grows more love.
